Glamping FAQ
Do I bring my own food and drink?
Yes, you bring your own food and drink, but we can pack a cooler for you in advance as an extra service. Please note that there is no glass allowed on the Wisconsin River.
How long does it take to canoe to my glamp site?
It’s a 1-2 hour paddle from where you check-in to where you’ll be glamping on the Wisconsin River.
Can I bring my dog?
Absolutely!
Can I shoot fireworks on the sandbars?
No, this is against the law, and you will be ticketed if you’re found doing so.
Can someone take us by boat to our glamp site if we don't we don't want to canoe?
Yes, just let us know in your reservation, and this is something we can facilitate as an additional service.
What should I bring with when I'm glamping on the Wisconsin River?
While we try to make your glamping experience as turnkey as possible, you’ll need to bring your own food and drinks (unless you want a cooler packed), and you’ll need to bring clothing that 1) can get wet/dirty, and 2) bring clothing that will keep you warm at night. We provide all the camping infrastructure, like the bell tent, chairs, bonfire setup, blankets, etc…but you’ll need to bring whatever you’re going to wear…and maybe some sunscreen and/or bug spray š
Is glamping on the Wisconsin River family friendly?
Yes, 100%!
Getting on the Wisconsin River to glamp is a unique experience that your family will talk about for years to come. Every body of water should be approached with caution and respect. To mitigate risk we require canoers to wear their life vest, especially children.
Does Round River Adventures provide life vests?
Yes, and you need to wear them when you’re on water…kids especially!
Will other people be glamping with me?
The sandbars are public spaces that anyone can use, and you may have neighbors while you’re glamping. However, we’ve selected this particular part of the Wisconsin River because it’s known for being more quiet.
When is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is anytime between 3:00PM and 5:00PM.
Check-out is between 11:00AM and 1:00PM.
